Lowered your classic VW Beetle/Bug/Type 1 and now the handling feels a bit off?
These EMPI caster shim bolts are a classic fix.

When you lower a VW, the front suspension geometry changes, which can affect steering feel and tire wear.
These longer bolts allow you to install shims between the torsion housing and the frame horn, effectively adjusting the caster angle back to a better setting.

They come as a pair, are high-quality, and provide proper thread engagement even with shims in place.

Installation requires some mechanical know-how – you'll need to support the front end, remove the existing bolts, add your shims (sold separately usually), and install these longer bolts.

It's a well-known modification in the air-cooled VW scene.
If your lowered Bug wanders, feels unstable, or wears tires unevenly, these bolts (along with the correct shims) can make a big difference.

Always check forums or a mechanic familiar with VWs for the right shim thickness for your setup.
