TV: 27th Annual Television Award Winners

The winners for the 27th Annual OFTA Television Awards have been announced.

The Last of Us, which received a total of 13 awards, was the most honored program of the year. It won Best Drama Series, as well as citations for Pedro Pascal as Best Actor, Murray Bartlett and Nick Offerman (who tied) in Guest Actor, Picture Editing, Cinematography, Production Design, Costume Design, Makeup, Sound Mixing, Sound Editing, Special Visual Effects, and Main Title Design.

Other winners in the drama series categories were Sarah Snook and Matthew Macfadyen from Succession in Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor respectively. That series also won the Directing and Writing categories. Carol Burnett for Best Guest Actress for Better Call Saul and The White Lotus won for Best Casting & Ensemble.

On the comedy side, The Bear won awards for Comedy Series, Actor (Jeremy Allen White), Supporting Actress (Ayo Edebiri), Guest Actor (Jon Bernthal, Casting & Ensemble, and Directing. Last year’s winner, Abbott Elementary won awards for Best Actress (Quinta Brunson, which she shared with Rachel Brosnahan of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) and Writing. Ted Lasso‘s Phil Dunster won Best Supporting Actor and Poker Face‘s Stephanie Hsu won Best Guest Actress.

Weird: The Al Yankovic Story won Best Motion Picture while Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story won on the Limited or Anthology Series side. The latter also saw supporting actor Richard Jenkins take the award there while Claire Danes won the award for Supporting Actress for Fleishman Is in Trouble. Beef won the rest of the limited/anthology categories with stars Steven Yeun and Ali Won winning the lead acting categories and the series winning for Casting & Ensemble, Directing, and Writing.
